The Italian Cultural Society of Washington, DC, awards $200 to a student of George Mason University who is selected by the university's Italian language program faculty. The award is made possible by donations in honor of the late Cesarina Horing, former director of the Society’s Italian Language Program. It is entirely funded by the Fincantieri Marine Group.
The William Weaver Prize in Italian Studies, which is a monetary prize in the amount of $1,000, recognizes the academic achievements of students who are minoring in Italian Studies.
This scholarship recognizes the most outstanding performance using the Korean language at the annual speech contest held among14 institutions in the Mid-Atlantic region. The grand prize is a full scholarship to study abroad in South Korea.
This award was established in 2018 for supporting students who are pursuing either a minor or a major in Korean.

The Helen Ludwig Sehrt Scholarship recognizes the academic achievements of students minoring in German. The scholarship was established in 2008 through the estate of Helen Ludwig Sehrt, a former professor of George Mason University.
These scholarships are an annual gift from the Taipei Economic And Cultural Relations Office for MCL students to study in Taiwan each summer in the hopes of enhancing their Chinese language skills.
This award was established in Spring 2022 for a Japanese-minoring student through generous sponsorship of Ms Miho Ogomori in order to encourage future generations to pursue a career that will strengthen the relationship between the United States and Japan.
