The Korean American Education Fund (KAEF) Scholarship in Korean Studies

The purpose of the Fund is to provide support for undergraduate students who are minoring in Korean Studies or pursuing a degree in Korean Studies as a major. Recipients may be full-time or part-time students and in-state or out-of-state students, and will qualify on the basis of academic merit. Recipients will be selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences in coordination with the Office of Student Financial Aid.  Applicants must submit a one-page (single-spaced) essay in Korean explaining their scholarly and career interests in Korean studies, an unofficial transcript, and a recommendation letter from a George Mason University faculty member.

If you are interested in applying the KAEF Scholarship in Korean Studies, please submit:

  1. Maximum two-page (single-spaced) essay in Korean explaining your scholarly and career interests in Korean Studies 
  2. Copy of unofficial transcript
  3. Resume with two names and contact information of references from Mason faculty (At least 1 from Korean studies program)
