Korean: Korean media production, history and culture study
Young Ju Lee is a first-year graduate student in the M.A. in Foreign Languages program with a concentration in Korean Studies at George Mason University. Her academic interests include Korean language pedagogy, second-language acquisition, Korean culture, intercultural communication, and experiential learning.
Young Ju is an experienced Korean language educator who has taught students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Her teaching emphasizes communicative proficiency, cultural understanding, and authentic language use. She is particularly interested in developing interactive, project-based learning experiences that connect classroom instruction with Korean history, literature, music, and contemporary culture.
At George Mason University, Young Ju serves as a graduate tutor in Korean, supporting students with conversation, pronunciation, grammar, and language-learning strategies. Her academic and professional work reflects her commitment to expanding Korean language education and creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage with Korea and the Korean-speaking world.
