Thammanoon Iampramoon was born in Thailand. He obtained his B.A. in English Linguistics in 1995 from Ramkhamhaeng University, Bangkok, Thailand. Before coming to the U.S., he worked as a Spanish & Portuguese speaking tour guide. He received another B.A. in Spanish from George Mason University in 2011 and a Master's degree in Spanish/Bilingual Education at the same university in 2013. His Master's Thesis was titled "Teaching and learning Spanish as a foreign language in Thailand: Teachers' expectations and students' motivations." He has traveled to several countries including Spain, Argentina, France, Morocco and many countries in Asia.
