German
As a native German speaker, Nadia Abedy, was raised in Germany, where she spent 18 years prior to moving to the United States. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, in Psychology and German from George Mason University. She also obtained her Master Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in International ESOL from George Mason University. Ms. Abedy joined GMU’s Department of Modern & Classical Languages as an Adjunct professor in 2017, where she currently instructs students in German at the 100 and 200 levels. She resides in Fairfax, VA with her husband and two kids. Besides her passion for teaching German, she enjoys tutoring and volunteering at public schools.
