Spanish: Second Language Acquisition, Syntax, and Pragmatics.

I have been interested in languages and their intricacies from a very young age. After earning a bilingual degree in Business Administration in Medellín, Colombia, I decided to pursue a career in education and became an English teacher. Five years later, I started my first master’s program in Linguistics at George Mason University (GMU) and worked as an ESL instructor for ten years at Northern Virginia Community College. A few years after that, I earned a second master’s degree in Foreign Languages with a concentration in Spanish and Bilingual-Multicultural Education, also at GMU. In 2021, I completed my third master’s degree in Spanish Culture and Language at the Pontificia Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. Currently, I am working on my Ph.D. in Linguistics.

Life is an endless learning journey, and I value every moment I spend with my students and peers. I have a passion for teaching, and I am convinced that the future of education lies in bilingualism.
