CAROL LIPTON SALTZMAN obtained her B.A., summa cum laude, from CUNY- Queens College (1971), M.A. from New York University in French Language & Literature (1974), and J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law (1976).  She was a practicing attorney for 26 years, specializing in telecommunications and international law.  After retiring from the practice of law in 2002, Mme Saltzman began a second career as an Instructor of French for the Fairfax County Public Schools’ Adult & Community Education program (ACE) where she taught until 2007. Mme Saltzman joined GMU’s Department of Modern & Classical Languages as an Adjunct faculty member in 2006 where she currently instructs students in French at the 100 and 200 levels. She resides in Reston, VA with her husband Barry.
