Cesarina Horing Award Modern and Classical Languages

The Italian Cultural Society of Washington D.C. confers Cesarina Horing Awards to students of Italian at universities in the Washington, DC area. One student each from Georgetown University, the University of Maryland, and Catholic University, which have Italian major programs, is eligible for awards of $500. One student each from George Washington, American, and George Mason Universities, which have Italian minor programs, is eligible for an award of $300. Each awardee is selected by the Italian language program faculty at his or her university. The awards are funded by donations in honor of the late Cesarina Horing, former director of the Society’s Italian Language Program. It is entirely funded by the Fincantieri Marine Group.
