Minor in French

The minor in French provides students with the components of a well-rounded education in French: knowledge of the language (through conversation, composition, and grammar) combined with the study of literature and civilization.

FREN 325 Major French Writers (Topic Varies) (Mason Core) and FREN 329 Problems of Western Civilization in French Literature (Mason Core) cannot be used to fulfill this requirement. Students choose electives in consultation with an advisor. These courses must be conducted in French.
