Examines contemporary social, political, economic, cultural trends in France. Covers domestic and international topics such as debates around French identity, migration and civil rights, political parties, the media, family life, work-related issues, participation in international organizations and involvement with former colonies and overseas regions. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: FREN 309 or permission of the instructor.
