Studies forms, contexts, and developments of comedy as a dramatic form in Greco-Roman world. Traces development of New Comedy in Hellenistic age and translation and adaptation of New Comedy by Roman dramatists Plautus and Terence. Notes: Coursework in English. Limited to three attempts.
