"Translating languages and Cultures: Challenges and Opportunities" by Michel Tinguiri, PhD
Dr. Michel Tinguiri currently teaches cultural anthropology at Montgomery College (Maryland) and French Language and Culture as a contractor at the Foreign Service Institute (Department of State). He received a PhD in socio-cultural anthropology at the American University and his expertise includes environment and development, literary translation, legal and political translation. His recent research projects include translingual writing, translation and intercultural communication, the intersection between cultural anthropology and translation. Dr. Tinguiri has been working as a professional translator for about seven years, during which he translated numerous documents, including the following published co-translation works:
