The Basic Spanish Program is honored to have Warsan Noor among our dedicated Teaching Assistants this academic year. It is not very often that we can trace the start of our TAs’ experience in the language to one of our own courses. Yet six years ago, Warsan took Spanish 110 at George Mason University and since then she has never stopped learning the language or deepening her understanding of the cultures in the Spanish-speaking world. Now prepared to defend her Master’s thesis on comparative Mexican and Egyptian film melodrama while actually teaching Spanish 110, she is a role-model to our students and an inspiration to us all. Congratulations, dear Warsan! Your experience with Spanish at George Mason highlights our program’s support and motivation of students across all levels.
