Naglaa Hussein Leads Session at 11th Annual Africa and Middle East Spring Literature Workshop

On Monday April 13th, Naglaa Hussein, Instructional Associate Professor of Arabic, led the first half of the "11th Annual Africa and Middle East Spring Literature Workshop for Educators" Organized by Center for African Studies at Howard University and Center for Arab Studies at Georgetown University.

Here is the text published on Center for African Studies describing the event "The 11th Annual Africa & Middle East Spring Literature Workshop for Educators at Howard University offered a dynamic and inspiring experience that blended scholarship, creativity, and meaningful engagement. Dr. Naglaa Hussein led the first part of the workshop with depth and intention, inviting author Rhonda Roumani to join via Zoom; together, they created a powerful and inspiring session centered on storytelling, identity, and the richness of African and Middle Eastern narratives, with Roumani’s book on Umm Kulthum bringing a compelling cultural and historical lens to the discussion.”
