Dr Peiyu Yang named Kluge Fellow at the Library of Congress

Dr Peiyu Yang was awarded a Kluge Fellowship from the Library of Congress
This highly competitive fellowship is awarded annually to twelve scholars working in the humanities and social sciences whose archival research makes use of the Library of Congress collections and fits with the Kluge Center’s mission. During this fellowship term, Dr. Yang will be working on a book and interactive database project entitled State and Popular Voices in Arab-China Solidarity: A Digital Humanities Project. The project assembles a multilingual archive of state-sponsored and popular media to explore how transcultural solidarity-building worked across genres and voices in the 1950s and 1960s.
