The Chinese program of Modern and Classical Languages hosted the First GMU Undergraduate Conference on Chinese Studies on April 29th, 2022. This conference provided a platform for undergraduate students of Chinese at Mason to practice giving conference presentations in a supportive environment and to communicate with fellow students within the Mason community about their interests in the Chinese language and culture. Seven students presented at the conference. Kelley Roth, Elizabeth Berry, and Dulguun Gantumur were recognized with Awards of Excellence. The Chinese program plans to continue this conference in following years as an annual event.
