CHIN 102 - K02: Elementary Chinese II

This course is designed for students with prior knowledge of Chinese and will cover Lesson 4 – Lesson 6 of the main textbook, Integrated Chinese. The course focuses on developing the four basic skills in language necessary to communicate with native Mandarin Chinese speakers—listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It includes practice in writing Chinese characters, using essential vocabulary and elementary grammar for oral and written communication, exploring aspects of Chinese culture and society, and making comparisons between the Chinese language and culture and those of the students. In addition, authentic text or audiovisual materials are used to enhance the development of communication skills.
