SPAN 201 is a three-credit semester asynchronous distance learning course taught via Blackboard for intermediate students of Spanish who have completed SPAN 110, SPAN 115, SPAN 102 successfully, or have taken the placement exam.  SPAN 201 is designed around the 5 national standards of foreign language education: communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities. We address those standards through a variety of listening, speaking, reading and writing activities.

For students with prior experience studying Spanish. Further development of oral, interpretive, and written language skills through exposure to Spanish-language texts and multimedia, vocabulary and grammar-building activities, communicative tasks, and cultural projects. Offered by Modern & Classical Languages. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: SPAN 102, 110, 115, appropriate placement score or permission of department.
