This course rotates topics related to language in education, law, healthcare, government, and other domains and integrates a community-based component through internship work. Qualified students are placed with area institutions, organizations, interest groups, agencies, or corporations in nonpaying internships or paid university work-study positions. Notes: Placement depends on availability of internship positions and community partnerships. Final course outcome requires development of an academic or professional portfolio. Offered by Modern & Classical Languages. May not be repeated for credit.

Recommended Prerequisite: SPAN 502 - Hispanic Sociolinguistics

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.
Enrollment is limited to Graduate, Non-Degree or Undergraduate level students.
Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
