Focuses on major trends and issues in modern Arabic cultural production. In addition to material from the Middle East and North Africa, the course surveys works of art, cinema, media, and literature from across the global Arabic diaspora. Notes: Some knowledge of Arabic is preferable. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 6 credits.
