Why did you choose to do a BAM program?
I decided to apply for the BAM program because I thought that it was a great opportunity. Now, I firmly believe that it was, in fact, a great opportunity to advance in my career. As a first-generation college student, I encountered many obstacles throughout my academic path. However, this program provided an extra support and pushed me towards success. This program allows pre-graduate students to take post-graduate classes. Aside from the economic benefit, it allows students to developed different advanced skills, which will later aid them. As a student takes pre-graduate and post-graduate classes, it provides a smooth transition and sets students for success. Not only that, but it allows students to continue with their education. The experience earned in those classes are a great foundation for student's academic success.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself continuing with my education, working towards my PhD. If it weren’t for this program, it would have taken me longer to finish my Master's. In fact, I probably would have stopped for a few years before coming back. Thanks to the accelerated master’s pathway, I am way ahead of my academic goals.
