Jamie D. Aprile joined the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at George Mason as an adjunct faculty member in the spring of 2018 after relocating to Northern Virginia. Her dissertation on the Late Bronze Age Greek Mycenaean culture used an artifact distribution analysis to test regional economic models derived from textual sources and to evaluate the political relationship between a regional center and a hinterland community. She has conducted fieldwork in the United States (Indiana), Greece, Italy, and Albania and currently researches the Etruscan site of San Giuliano near Barbarano Romano, Italy.
