Topics such as early days of French cinema, a nouvelle vague, women film directors, Quebecois, African and Caribbean films, selected by type, period or director. Advanced critical research and writing required. Viewing of films outside of class time. Notes: May be repeated for credit when topic is different. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 6 credits.

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.

Enrollment is limited to Graduate, Non-Degree or Undergraduate level students.

Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
