Dr. Alexía D. Vikis is currently a Term Assistant Professor of Spanish for the Department of Modern and Classical Languages at George Mason University (GMU).  Dr. Vikis holds a D.A. in Community College Education, a M.A. and a B.A. in Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) from GMU where she has been teaching Spanish,occasionally including French, since 2002. She has also taught these languages at Northern Virginia Community College for many years. Dr. Vikis' teaching and scholarly interests include contemporary women writers from the French and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, teaching with technology, and the development of online courses.
