Hebrew (HEBR)

101 Elementary Hebrew (3:0:0) HEBR 101 assumes no previous background in Hebrew. The goal is to acquire basic vocabulary, conversation strategies, and grammatical structures so you will be able to introduce and exchange basic information about yourself, read and understand simple text.  The course is the first of a sequence, designed to cultivate the basic skills which include listening, speaking, writing and reading of the Hebrew language.

150 Introduction to Biblical Hebrew (3:0:0) Introduction to Biblical Hebrew, basic vocabulary, grammar, and development of reading skills with an introduction to the religion and culture of ancient Israel that produced the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament.
