MA in Foreign Languages | Concentration in French
The MA in Foreign Languages with a concentration in French course offerings focus on a variety of topics from the traditional academic study of the language, literature, and the culture of French—to less traditional subjects such as film studies and the Francophone literatures of the Caribbean, Quebec, and Africa. This unique array leads to an in-depth liberal arts experience in scholarship that allows students to experience the full spectrum of the Francophone world.
In addition to the rich faculty of scholars from around the world—who collectively speak more than twelve languages—highlights of graduate work with Mason’s Department of Modern and Classical Languages include:
-
evening classes to accommodate working professionals
-
small class sizes
-
optional master’s thesis
- traditional and non-traditional language-related course offerings
