Dr. Greenberg Receives Grant for the Arabic Program from the US Department of State

The Arabic program at George Mason University has been awarded a small, one-time grant from the US State Department for the purpose of creating and promoting a local "Arabic Language Exchange Network" for all students enrolled in Arabic language classes at Mason. The grant, which has been received by Nathaniel Greenberg through the Critical Language Scholarship Alumni Development Fund, will be used to facilitate one-on-one conversation between native Arabic speakers on campus and Arabic language learners. Beginning this spring all students enrolled in Arabic 250 will participate in the program as a mandatory part of the curriculum. The Arabic program hopes to expand the language-partner exchange to include all elementary and intermediate classes beginning next fall.
